STUDY OUTLINE
This study will be investigating how well a 3-in 1 inhaler may help prevent COPD flare-ups and serious heart events, like heart failure and heart attacks, in people with COPD.
In the research study, you will either be taking a 2-in-1 inhaler or 3-in-1 inhaler twice daily. You will also be given another inhaler as rescue use.

ELIGIBILITY & REQUIREMENTS
- 40 to 80 years of age
- Have been told you have heart disease or have risk factors like high cholesterol, diabetes, high blood pressure or obesity
- Current or former cigarette smoker
- Not taking inhaled corticosteroid medication(s) (puffers) to treat your COPD
- There are additional eligibility requirements to enrol in this study.
WHAT'S INVOLVED
- The trial will run for a minimum of 3 months to up to maximum of 3 years.
- Between 4 to 12 clinic visits at the Institute for Respiratory Health at QEII Medical Centre, Nedlands.
- Some visits may be able to be done remotely.
- A full health check by our doctors and nurses.
- Reimbursement for travel expenses.
- Personalised health care with our doctors and nurses.
